Dear Kristy.
Ayurveda Oils can be used as per the body type/environment/ the health issues etc.
usually the base oils could be used from the following :
sesame oil(warm to hot in nature)
coconut oil ( cool in nature)
olive Oil ( warm in nature)....

also depending on the body type, the progress of the disease , the time factor of the disease and the presence of ama in the body we use the oils accordingly.

to be continued...............

well here is another classification of oils that you will find in kerala

Taila or Tailam ( base could be any, but preferably sesame is used.)
example - Bala Tailam, Anu Tailam, Balaashwagandha Tailam ,Kapooradi Tailam.

Keram - here we use coconut oil as the base.

Enna - base of sesame oil . example Murivenna.

Kuzambhu - This is a combination of many like castor oil, Ghee , sesame oil and more.
so usually Kuzambhus are taken less when the ama collection in body is more so that it doesnt block the body tissues more.
example - Dhanwantaram Kuzambhu, Karpasasthyadi Kuzambhu. etc.

In cold seasons, should use hot or balmy oil and in the hot division is vice-versa. The easiest way is to columnist the oil into a artificial canteen and again accumulate it absorbed in balmy or algid baptize until it is abundantly balmy or cold, according to the situation.
